KWA LM4 PTR
Tke KWA LM4 PTR is an amazing rifle. It if the closest to real steel there is available on the market for the airsoft community outside of the shell ejecting rifles. It is a full length M4 Carbine that comes with an LE stock, carry handle, standard hand guard and front triangle sight. The Gun is full metal with exception only to teh pistol grip, hand guard and stock. The rifle is just like its real steel counter part in that it has a fully functional charging handle, bolt catch/release and delta ring. The buffer tube houses a recoil spring for the slight kick the blow back action gives. The recoil is just below that of a .22 and you can feel it with every shot. The Entire gun is real steel and milspec sized so any real steel parts will fit the rifle with little to no modification. Each mag weighs about the same as a fully loaded real steel 5.56 at about 1.3 lbs. This adds to the realism when you are carrying this rifle onto the field. Each mag holds 38 rounds and the gas is also loaded into the magazine to keep a clean look with no remote lines, tanks or cartridges. Out of the box this rifle shoots 379 FPS with a .25g bb. That equals out to about 410 FPS with a .20 which is firing a little hot for some fields. Accuracy, range and overall performance of this rifle exceed that of the AEG counterparts. This rifle hits 10/10 at 125' with a 6" target and at 150' 9/10 for the same target. These numbers were produced with .30g KSC Perfect bbs. This rifle has no problem reaching out to almost 200' to touch someone but with the limited rounds in the magazine, it is suggested you keep your engagements to distances your sure of.
Aftermarket parts for this rifle are hard to come by because it is mostly proprietary and new but RA Tech and Guarder have a few upgrades out such as the barrel, hopup and an N.P.A.S. bolt for this gun.
This rifle drops in at only $380.00 which in comparison to some AEGs isnt all that much. Each magazine is going to cost you around 48/00 though and that is where the gun becomes pricey.
Pros:
Realism, blow back, weight, accuracy
Cons:
Mag prices, somewhat proprietary
Overall:
This rifle deserves a 10/10 for its great features and realism. The blow back is crisp and clean and hard. You actually have to control your shots to remain on target. Mag prices are the only reason I would not rate it 10/10 but it would drop it down to a 9.5/10 because the price is worth every penny.
